(INTRODUCTORY)

This course is designed for delegates "working in roles which may directly contribute to the creation, detection or control of a well influx" (p.9, OGP Report 476).

  Duration: 3 days + IWCF examination on 4th day

IWCF DRILLING WELL CONTROL LEVEL 3

(DRILLER)

This course is designed for drilling crew (drillers and assistant drillers) and others with a requirement to hold a IWCF Well Control certificate.

  Validation: 2 years
  Duration: 4 days + IWCF examination on 5th day

IWCF DRILLING WELL CONTROL LEVEL 4 

(SUPERVISOR)

This course is designed for toolpushers, drilling supervisors, well engineers, OIM and others with a requirement to hold a IWCF Well Control certificate.

  Validation: 2 years
  Duration: 4 days + IWCF examination on 5th day

Candidates will need to register for an account on IWCF FORUM. Once registered and approved by the IWCF, a candidate ID number will be issued. Candidates will need their candidate ID before registering for a well control class.

The free, online Well Operations Crew Resource Management (WOCRM) awareness course is available at IWCF. The new WOCRM course aims to improve non-technical skills of all personnel involved in well operations, and focuses on the 6 WOCRM competencies outlined in the IOGP 501 and 502 reports.
